Baz at The Palazzo: No Other Show Like It on the Las Vegas Strip

What do you get when you take three romantic stories and put them together? You get a superlative show named Baz, which makes its home at The Palazzo, on the Strip in Las Vegas. A musical tribute to director/producer/writer Baz Luhrmann’s film work, comes together with the stories of Romeo and Juliet, The Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge. What you end up with is 90 minutes of non-stop dancing, singing and feel good entertainment to hit songs like Lady Marmalade from Moulin Rouge.

Original cast member Timyra-Joi, known from being on NBC’s hit show The Voice, plays a charming and fun Juliet with a strong vocal range. You can see her pictured above with me and her fellow cast members Ian Brininstool who plays Romeo (right) and Brad Standley (left) who plays Christian from Moulin Rouge, after the performance on March 30th, on stage at The Palazzo Theatre.

If you are somebody from New York or you visit New York and enjoy musicals, Baz is the show to go to while you are in Las Vegas. There is nothing else quite like it on the Strip. For some, the show may be worth seeing again. It takes these three classic romantic stories and makes every fantasy you could imagine about these stories come to life on stage.

We want to thank Baz cast member Cheryl Daro who we had a CYInterview segment with [see here]. She invited us to come see Baz a few months ago and told us we would enjoy ourselves. She was right.

Please take note that if you are sitting up close by the stage at the Palazzo Theatre that many of the performers venture in and out of the crowd. Baz runs weekly from Tuesday through Sunday to August 31, 2018. The cast just recently celebrated its 500th show.
